Who is this Course Intended For?

This course is designed for multidisciplinary practices or individual SLPs, OTs, PTs, or other related service providers who are looking to contract their services with California schools by becoming an NPA.

This course may NOT be ideal for those who do not yet have a signed school contract in place, or who have not begun negotiations with a school. The NPA application requires at least one school to sign off a portion of the application, and requires a copy of your school contract. However, don’t fret! Many schools may be willing to work with you as you apply to become an NPA! More information is provided on this topic in the course.

Similarly, this course is primarily intended for individuals or businesses within the state of California. Please be advised that if you are an out-of-state applicant (i.e., do not have a California business address), the CDE requires the applicant to provide evidence (i.e., a license or certification) from their state Department of Education authorizing them to provide related services as an eligibility requirement to become certified by the California Department of Education (CDE), in accordance with California Education Code (EC) Section 56365(h) and California Code of Regulations, Title 5 (5 CCR) Section 3060(c)(18). Please check with your state’s department of education to see if this is something they can provide prior to applying for NPA.

This course is for support only and does not guarantee DOJ or NPA approval with purchase. The videos and  documents included in this course are intended to guide and not to be misconstrued as legal, tax, financial, accounting, or other professional opinions or advice.
